BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. -- News flash: There’s food beyond the Sonic Drive-In! The Three Brothers Mexican restaurant has opened on the main drag, Highway 90 through Waveland and Bay St. Louis. They’re serving seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., but sometimes need to close for awhile mid-day. (Note: The food is good, but keep your service expectations low. Waitress Honey Spoon tells us that she is the only food server who was here prior to Katrina.)

Chop Sticks Chinese Buffet has reopened seven days a week, now that they have gas, as has Sicily’s, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Hiding behind a professional office on Highway 90 is Southern Delights, now open Monday through Friday for lunch, plus 5 till late on Thursday and Friday nights.

Nightcaps? Note that Benigno’s is not the only option in the area. Nowadays, there’s also Third Base, a beer and pool hall along Highway 90. It’s a beginning.

I have been the recipient of help from Jehovah's people.
It is a wonderful world wide organization, and I am very proud to be a part of it. I live in Florida; have been affected by hurricanes; and have seen the witnesses at work. They are efficient, hard workers, friendly, and happy at helping others.World wide, they are a credit to
Jehovah.....very special people.....

While not a Witness myself, my daughter is and I have seen time and time again the outpouring of their members to those in need. God's work perhaps? I would rather think that it is Jehovah who is in all of us.

I am one of Jehovah Witnesses and live in North Carolina, our hearts and prayers go out to our Brother and Sisters, I can only send funds to be used in their behalf, We know these are stressful times, but the love and concern and of course the swinging of many hammers will bring comfort and peace to many "friends".

Jehovah's Witnesses are very special and priveleged. To know Jehoavah the almighty God is wonderful, as seen by the swift and loving response to the disaster.

My wife and I recently had the wonderful privilege to have four "friends" from North Carolina stay with us for two weeks. Little did we know that among helping others they would be among the crew that would replace our roof for us. It is so heart warming to support even in little ways a program that reflects the love our Grand Creator.

Desde adelaware un gran saludo a loa hermanos y hermanas que estan sacrificando mucho en beneficio de los que mas necesitan en estos momentos dificiles, que exelente es saber que el amor que predican de casa en casa se aplica en la casa de los nuestros.

Just want all our freinds to know that Jehovah will bless them for all the hard work they have done with love and joy.May Jehovah continue to give you all strength to keep going!!!!love you all lynn:-)

This is wonderful, Helping our brothers out in time of need.My nephew in Idaho sent me the article about "Rising from Ruin". Very informative and doing what Jehovah asks us to do.
In love,
Valerie B. Anderson

My best friend, whom I grew up with in Oregon, had a house on the beach at Viloxi & the Witnesses worked on their house & neighbors were impressed & asked about getting them to help them because the people working on their house was not efficent or fast. They are having trouble getting their flood ins. money to fully fix their houses there at this time.

As we go through these difficult "last days" we know that things will get worse, and we will need the love and support of our brothers and sisters more and more. Let us continue to bring honor and glory to our great God Jehovah and we accomplish his will worldwide.

By being kindness toward our brother and sister and our neighbour we bring glory to Jehovah God and we make His heart rejoice. Our love to Jehovah move us to do what ever takes to help our brother and sister round the world when they really need it.

I am pioneering in Toronto, Canada and have had the privilege to read all the comments and my prayers are that all those who lost so many material things know that we think and pray about them and that we all show the same kindness to our brothers and sisters even at home in our congregations. The above experiences show me that Jehovah really cares for us all and that we must all be ready to help one another as times get very difficult. Thank you for this lovely email.Warm Christian love.

Its really heart warming to read and hear all the efforts brothers and sisters are doing to help those in need! well, I´m from germany but I hear a lot about the work done. Also if I can`t do anything practical but you all are in my prayers. Jehovah watches everything and he will give the strength! He sees what is needed and provides for his people. what a witness to the egoistic world around us! It's a priviledge to feel the unity worldwide and to be a part of Jehovahs people!

Im a babptized witeness of Jehovah from the EL socorro congregation in trinidad and yes our organization is a golbal effort. Kepp up the good work.

Hello! I am looking forward to coming down to Bay St. Louis on Jan. 1st (DV)to help put sheet rock up on about 250 homes down there with a crew from RI and Ct. I count it as a real priviledge to be able to be of some assistance, and look forward to bringing Prov. 25:25 to and from Bay St. Louis, Jehovah willing:)

Yes, we're seeing love in action! Here in Ohio, many are going to Lousiana this holiday weekend to help those in distress and need, with their roofs and interiors of their living quarters. What memories some of these young couples will bring back with them and treasure such happy memories for many years to come. We are Witneses and love to do things needed for others, whether in this time of physical need, or more importantly, in times of spiritual need (which is daily!)

i am one of jeovah witneses i personaly know that a letter was sent out across north america regarding the need of volinters . they where printed right before the hurcane and sent right after.

What a wonderful organization we belong to. The love we have for all, especially our brothers and sisters, is so evident in times of need. For any not aquainted with Jehovah's Witnesses take the time to familiarize youself with who we truly are. Jehovah's Holy Spriit is is in action. Love to all from Statesville, NC West congragation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

99% of the world has rejected the teachings of the Watchtower Jehovah's Witnesses as a 'joke' but the darker truth is they are a destructive and oppressive organization.
